Event description
Join Edison to walk and raise money for awareness of Batten Disease

About this Event

Edison Wilburn, the son of Eric Wilburn and Amber Knisley of Greenfield was diagnosed with Batten disease in May of 2019. Children with Batten Disease suffer progressive neurological impairments with symptoms that include seizures, blindness, dementia and the loss of ability to walk, talk and communicate. It is estimated that 2 to 4 out of every 100,000 babies born in the USA have this genetic disease. Sadly, the disease is terminal with a life expectancy up to 12 years old. Treatment efforts are focused on improving quality of life.

All proceeds go towards Edisons medical/travel expenses and to bring awareness.
