First Texas Volunteers, in cooperation with Battleship Texas Foundation and Texas Parks & Wildlife, host the Battleship TEXAS Hard Hat Tours.
Hard Hat Tours aboard Battleship TEXAS are a truly unique opportunity to see the inner workings of the last Dreadnaught Battleship on earth. Go behind the locked gates on an expertly lead 3.5 hour tour through the boiler rooms, turrets, shell and powder handling rooms, and so much more. Get a unique perspective on the history and engineering of this truly one of a kind ship.

Battleship TEXAS - Specialty Tours and Events
First Texas Volunteers or FTV, is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Battleship Texas BB35, as well as educating the public on the ships rich history. FTV, in cooperation with Texas Parks and Wildlife and Battleship Texas Foundation, engages in active restoration and preservation projects throughout the year and plays host to Hard Hat Tours and special events for distinguished visitors. FTV members also serve as docents about the ship to engage with the general public, educating them on its history and answering their questions. All donations raised go to finance additional activities and restoration efforts aboard the ship. (Please note that there are multiple different tours on each date. Once you select the date you are interested in, you will be given the opportunity to select your time slot.)
