Description
This First Annual Battle Of the BBQ will take place at Champion Brewing Company in their outdoor area.
The event will run from 12PM-4PM.
Tastings/Music/Fun
12:00pm-2:00pm- Tastings, Music, Beer
2:00pm-2:30pm- Tastings and Beer
2:30pm-3:00pm- Judge’s Presentation
3:00pm-4:00pm- Music and Beer
Pre-Event Online Pricing Only
$20- Event Admittance with performances by Disco Risque, tastings of BBQ and Brisket at each vendor, and one beer ticket.
At the Door Event Tickets:
$20- Event Admittance with performances by Disco Risque and tastings of BBQ and Brisket at each vendor.
$10-Event Admittance
$5- Beer Tickets
$20- Kids Admittance, tastings of BBQ and Brisket at each vendor, and one NA beverage ticket.
Rules and Stuff
Tickets are sold per person and all attendees must wear wristbands at all times.
Tasting Samples are 3oz of Pulled Pork and 3oz of Smoked Brisket per vendor with a punch-card system
Sides and full portions will be available for purchase directly from the vendors.
Prestige and Awards-
People’s Choice- Vote for your favorite Pulled Pork and Smoked Brisket
Expert Panel- Actual BBQ Judges, and a local Cvillebrity.
Prizes- One Ginormous Trophy for each of the two categories
All proceeds will be going to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charity of Charlottesville. We will be recruiting an army of volunteers and will post the sign up details ASAP. Volunteers will assist with table set up and tasting supply distribution as well serving the samples.
Champion Brewing will have a full line up of their best craft brews for available for purchase. Non alocholic beverages will also be available.
