Description

All athletes should refer to the standards set for the event in October (will be posted in this event description) when deciding which level to compete this February. They should suffice for at least somewhat of an idea of movements, loads, skills.

Continue to train hard and be prepared for as much as you can. Use past events to gather ideas on what to include and in what ways.

Our goal is to also introduce new movements/events that we have not used prior but maybe have been used in other events you've competed in. For example, the strict HSPU back in 2014, the fat bar in 2015, etc. We plan to continue this trend.

We assure you that movements, loads, volume, and skills will be division appropriate while also pushing the limits of what those are as athletes continue to evolve and improve.

The scaled division is still the place to be for novice and/or first time competitors. The intermediate division then becomes the scaled Rx division. Tough, challenging, and maybe even some movements that one hasn't quite fully grasped but still very much more accessible than the open Rx division.

With this Battle having individuals and teams compete on both days, we are limited in the total amount of athletes we can take yet it gives us the opportunity to move through the entire event more efficiently and on time. A great trade off.

As we pass into the new year, more details on movements, skills, and even actual events will be released. Again, look to the last Battle's standards as a preliminary guide. As well, we will promise to include male versus female capabilities more when considering all team events since it is one large mixed teams division.

The following are the standards posted for The Battle in the Fall that was hosted in October 2016. Something to keep in mind are that these lists are not comprehensive. There may be loads, movements, skills that show up not on these lists but still division appropriate.
