Event description
Digital Promise sponsored Design Studio focused on the teacher of color recruitment and retention pipeline

About this event

At Digital Promise we work with school districts across the country to improve teaching and learning opportunities for all.

You are invited to JOIN US on our newest project focused on increasing the pipeline and retention of teachers of color.

Project Focus Question: How might we provide an opportunity for educators in regions across the country to rethink ways to increase the recruitment and retention of teachers of color?

Our Baton Rouge area/ McHenry County design studio will bring together teachers of color from across districts, including Huntley Community School District, East Baton Parish Public School District, and neighboring areas, to discuss and brainstorm novel, and differentiated, teacher-centered solutions to increase the pipeline and retention of teachers of color.

Register to join us for a creative, innovative virtual design session. This will be a two-part, on two different dates, session. YOUR ideas will frame a national conversation and initiative to support teachers of color.

Organizer Digital Promise

Organizer of Baton Rouge Area/McHenry County Teacher of Color Design Studio: 10/17 & 24

Digital Promise was created with the mission to accelerate innovation in education to improve opportunities to learn.

Our vision is that all people at every stage of their lives have access to learning experiences that help them acquire the knowledge and skills they need to thrive and continuously learn in an ever-changing world.

To achieve this vision, we must work together to close the Digital Learning Gap. Because when all learners have equitable access to learning technology, when everyone participates, and when everyone learns, we all benefit from a more engaged, informed and just society.
