Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

There are at least nine species of bat to be found in Scotland. The most numerous and familiar of these are pipistrelles, which can be seen flitting about near woodland or open water at dusk, in search of midges and other flying insects. A single pipistrelle can consume up to 3,000 midges in one night!

Come along and learn all about our Batty friends, as we show you how to use the bat detectors and play some Batastic games.

This event is open to all ages. We ask that all children are supervised at this event.

This is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately. Stout footwear is recommended, although we will try to stay on the paths as much as we can.

NB. Please do not park in the car parks as these are locked, and we would hate for your car to get stuck.

If you have a torch please do bring it along.
