Event description
After the success of the inaugural BAT SOUP Comedy Night in May, Young Southpaw is pleased to announce another evening of hijinx n hilarity

About this Event

Young Southpaw is the surrealist alter ego of writer and musician Aug Stone. popbollocks.com recently reviewed The Young Southpaw Part Of An Hour podcast as "From the existential thread that ties Jean-Paul Sartre to Jon Bon Jovi, to the skinny on what’s floating in TLC’s ‘Waterfalls’, and the possibility that Al Pacino is coaching boxing kangaroos in space, wise-fool Southpaw's ramblings lead listeners on a surreal journey through doors they didn't even know existed, into a highly original, deeply funny land of pop culture confusion.” The live shows have been a potent distillation of this absurdity. Young Southpaw will be hosting the evening as well as performing a set. Joining him:

Brooke Louellen charms audiences with hilarious tales of dating disasters, womanly woes, and the Mississippi misadventures of her outlandish Southern family.

Cliff Mula can’t snap his fingers or whistle but he’s from Hartford so he’s got a story to tell.

Ish Gupta’s comedy addresses a number of topics including weird jobs, his confusing hair, and silly things white people do. Ish has shared stages with Andrew Kennedy, Kevin McAffrey, and Katie Hannigan. He hopes you are having a wonderful day!

Josh Levinson is a software engineer by day and comedian by night, turning his insecurities into punchlines.

Energetic and unapologetic, Kate Clancy is a breath of fresh and filthy air. Her tongue is sharper than her six inch heels, but no matter how many lines her jokes may cross, she's always just one smile and hair flip away from forgiveness.

Mega Harrison became a comic because she told someone she already was one. The crushing anxiety of living with such a spurious claim forced her into a life of publicly confiding her secrets for the amusement of strangers.

Hartford’s Mo Green is recently back from performing at the Oak City Comedy Festival in Raleigh, NC. Green was on the sixth season of Amazon’s ‘Comics Watching Comics’, was in the semi-final round of Mohegan Sun's "Last Comix Standing" competition, and has won ten different local New England comedy contests this past year.

Moseph Mussa was recently featured in the Hartford Courant.

Nick Grunerud is the British James Blake.

Stosh Mikita’s comedy combines observational humor, self-deprecation, and dark personal stories from an unusual upbringing. He’s performed on WNPR's Colin McEnroe Show, New York Comedy Club's Roast Battle, and Comedy Fight Club on the Gas Digital Network.

Following the comedy, jahoctopus will be spinning records until closing time.

COME SEE THE SHOW, BRING YOUR FRIENDS, RAISE YOUR GLASSES, REMEMBER THERE IS NO ‘I’ IN ‘OPTOMETRY’.
