Join us for an amazing cheese tasting soirée to celebrate Bastille Day together!

Do you miss France? Do you miss French cheese? Do you long for a French-style "soirée"? Bastille Day is THE perfect occasion to enjoy a cheese platter shipped to you directly from France and presented by our very own Executive Director, Sarah Diligenti! Join us on Tuesday, July 14 at 6:00 pm in Zoom for an hour of fun, chat, great cheese, baguette, and wine.

How it works:

We are partnering with Fromages.com located in France which is graciously offering a 15% discount for your order!

1. Register on Eventbrite - it's free! Registration is open until July 2, 4:00 pm EDT.

2. You will receive a 15% discount coupon after June 25.

3. Place your order of the Spring Tour de France 2020 cheese platter before July 5, 11:59 pm EDT.

4. You will receive your cheese platter after July 6 within a couple of days at your home.

5. Preserve the cheese in your fridge or in a cold place. Do not eat the cheese before the event! ;-)

6. A couple of days before the online event, you will receive a Zoom join link.

7. On Tue, July 14 at 6:00 pm connect through the join link to our Zoom cheese tasting.

1. Perail

2015 Domaine Cabirau "First Things First" 750ml $39.99, for this tasting $29.99

Essentially a lot selection of the Serge & Nicolas that saw extended élevage in foudre, the 2015 Maury Sec First Things First shows a greater degree of elegance and polish as a result. Cherry fruit is accented by hints of baking spices and garrigue, plus vague notions of leather and suede that border on being textural elements as well as aromas and flavors. It's remarkably weightless and silky for a wine from Maury.

2. Chabichou

2015 Lalande de Pez 750ml $32.99, for this tasting $27.99

Château Lalande de Pez has an intense ruby color. You will find aromas of ripe fruits like black cherries, but also violet and spices. Château Lalande de Pez has a powerful structure and a very good length. You can enjoy this good wine with hare civet, a pheasant, cheese or pigeon.

3. Brie de Meaux

2018 Schmitt & Carrer Riesling Grand Cru Hengst Organic 750ml $22.99, for this tasting $17.49

In its youth, the wine is quite in accordance with its name, it has an untamed character ("Hengst" means stallion). Bottle-ageing softens, refines and tames it. It will astonish gourmets and connoisseurs by its aging potential. This wine is fresh, dry, and lingering, with a touch of minerality and a racy acidy in the mouth.

4. Maroilles

2018 Saint Antoines Chablis (Oak) Fut de Chene 750ml $32.99, for this tasting $25.99

On the first nose, a toasted note gently reveals the oak-aged character of this wine. With aeration, the fruit character of the wine comes out, with aromas of yellow fruit, peach, and apricot. Lovely freshness. The oak-aging delivers well-defined aromas, especially hazelnut notes. The finish is long, with a hint of woodiness at the end.

5. Fourme d’Ambert

2008 Suduiraut 375ml $54.99, for this tasing $49.99

94pts Tasted single blind against its peers. The Chateau de Suduiraut 2008 has a beautiful, dare I say effortless bouquet that blossoms from the glass with scents of lemon curd, white peach, citrus lemon and limestone. It is very precise, armed with a laser-like focus. The palate is viscous and compelling on the entry and it fans out beautifully across the palate with pure botrytized, honeyed fruit. The acidity slices through this Sauternes like a razor blade and the finish is natural and vibrant. This is a sublime sweet wine that deserves a home in every cellar.

6. Beaufort

2018 Jean-Marc Gilet Les Perruches Vouvray Sec 750ml $19.99 for this tasting $15.99

Vouvray Sec is a fresh, lively, very subtle wine. Crisp, bright, and dry with notes of honeysuckle, white flower, and honey. It has a great aromatic richness (acacia, pear, citrus ...) with a dominant mineral. It accompanies a cuisine of the sea (langoustines, pickled fish or fried ...).
