Bass Lake Blossom 300km Brevet 2017
Sat, Apr 1, 2017, 6:00 AM – Sun, Apr 2, 2017, 2:00 AM PDT
This is the longest brevet in the FCC 2017 series of randonneuring events and is the perfect ride for double century cyclists. The route combines the best of the local Bass Lake Double Century and the Blossom Ride and traverses beautiful low traveled foothill regions. Riders will follow a cue sheet and be required to check in at designated control points to receive credit for the ride. RUSA membership (RUSA.org $25/yr) prior to the event will record successful completion for members in a national database and is important to riders wanting to qualify for various awards and events. The 300km route starts in Clovis and loops through the mountain towns of Bass Lake, Auberry and Wonder Valley before returning to the valley floor for a flat finish through several small valley towns. 190 miles with 9,769ft of elevation gain with a 20 hr time limit. Services are limited so be prepared to be self sufficient-however lunch will be provided at the Humphrey Station control at mile 87. Day of event registration available 30 min prior to ride start.
Please familiarize yourself with RUSA rules for riding these events at rusa.org. You will definitely be required to have appropriate lights and reflective gear for this event.
