AJ loves all things sports and is gearing up for her next basketball season! When off the court, this talented kid also loves to relax at home with a good book. AJ is turning double digits in December and wants to do something BIG for her birthday to help others! She plans to use two of her favorite things, basketball and books, to raise money for Literacy Forsyth, a non-profit that provides literacy services to AJ's community, including getting books into the hands of kids who need them! The proceeds from AJ's Baskets for Books event will go towards helping with family literacy initiatives .

AJ's Baskets for Books basketball clinic will be held on December 6th from 11-12 at Redline Athletics Forsyth. The clinic is geared towards children ages 8-13. Kids will be placed in groups and coaches will work on specific skills along with the guidance of former WNBA player, Carla McGhee! Each player should bring their own basketball to the clinic and should wear gym appropriate clothing and tennis shoes. A $12 donation is suggested for each player participating in the clinic.

AJ's event will also include a fun raffle, snacks, and a book drive benefiting Literacy Forsyth's Free Little Library! Please consider bringing some new or gently used books to contribute to AJ's book drive!
