Description

The intended audience is the general local community. This session will explore the basic tenets of the religion of Islam, the Qur'an, the role of the Prophets, and other beliefs. We will explore some common misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, including the role of women. We will also briefly look into the history of Muslims in the United States. Presented by Regina Mustafa. Registration is required as space is limited to 12. Registration fee is a monetary donation to CIDI in the amount of your comfort (suggested $10). The session will be held at the CIDI Empowerment Center - 14 4th St SW, Suite 203 Rochester, MN - (Conley-Maass-Downs building, second floor). You can enter through the front entrace of The Bleu Duck restaurant and the take hte stairs or elevator up to the second floor.
