The goal of this lesson is to provide students with skills of drawing from life. This will be accomplished by introducing a method of drawing called "Construction Drawing", one which dates back to the early Renaissance and is still widely used today. We will discuss and explore basic elements and principles of design such a proportional, value, and shape relationships. We will also identify and utlize High Readers as a way of re-creating the visual order of the objects we are drawing. At the end of the session students will have a better understanding of how to order their observations, and thus draw more efficiently.
