About this event

Knowledge of performance improvement is a requirement of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). There is an increase need to make Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement essential modes of practice to improve patient outcomes. The focus of this course is to give the participants strategies based on these principles to enhance their careers in nursing. Additionally, this course highlights a point of view and an understanding of the concepts for your consideration. By the end of the course, participants will have met the following objectives:

1. Define what performance improvement /Quality Improvement is

2. Discuss how to participate in the process

3. Explain when to report identified client care issues/problems

4. Utilize research to perform improvement actions

5. Evaluate the impact of Performance Improvement and Quality measures

Dr. Jacquelyn Lambert-Davis, is a Licensed Registered Nurse, a Parish Nurse, a Certified Nurse Consultant, and the CEO of a Nursing Tutor Business. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University as a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a concentration in Educational Leadership. She also received her Master degree from Hampton University in Family Nurse Practitioner and a Bachelors in Nursing Science. As well as an Associate degree in Nursing from Norfolk State University. A 2020 alumni Fellow of the Veterans Affairs Quality Scholar program and a co-author of the Nursing Journal article entitled “An Integrative Review of the Barriers and Facilitators to Nurse Engagement in Quality Improvement in the Clinical Practice Setting.” This course is designed to give the participant new personal strategies to boost their professional careers.

Target Audience and Course Delivery: Includes, but is not limited to, Nurses and other health professionals. The instructional level of the activity is that of a basic course.Course Delivery and Number of CE Credits: This live webinar course. Attendees may receive no more than 3 CEs for this course. One CE contact hour is equal to 60 minutes of a learning activity. Attendees must participate in all sessions for which they registered and complete a course evaluation. CE certificates will be issued within 2 weeks of the end of the class, pending receipt of the course evaluation.

Provider # ABNP1559 expiring on 05/17/2025, is approved to offer continuing nursing education (CE) by the Alabama Board of Nursing (ABNP). Refund/Cancellation Policy:  The organization has established written policies concerning the criteria for a refund of fees at 100% in the event a program is canceled or rescheduled by the Provider. No refunds will be given if the participate attends 50% of the course. No refunds will be given for no shows unless it was a medical or disaster related cause with proof of incident.
