Great photography requires not just capturing a great moment but learning to process and refine the image. Fifty years ago, that was the darkroom -- but we now all can have a darkroom ten times as powerful right on our computers!
Jumping into Lightroom and especially Photoshop can be incredibly confusing. This is some of the most complex commercial software available, but all is not lost! Let me help you get oriented inside Lightroom and Photoshop and cover some of the basic functions of the software. Learn how to take a photo, identify what makes it interesting and then refine your vision using things like Curves, Levels, Layers and Blending Modes, Filters, Masking and more.
This class will get you started on some basic processing tasks and give you a structure to begin to learn more. Required for this class is a laptop and a copy or trial of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom (Both offer free 30 day trials, as well as $10/month subscription options). If you want to attend this class but need help installing photoshop or Lightroom, contact me and we'll have you arrive early. I will have a projector showing my own screen as well as notes available.
