Description

**FOR LANDLORDS, PROPERTY OWNERS, PROPERTY MANAGERS, and ORGANIZATIONS ONLY**

Understanding fair housing laws is important to any property owner, manager or industry professional that wants to make sure they are in compliance. The Illinois Human Rights Act protects people from discrimination when they are renting, buying, or securing financing for any housing or commercial property in Illinois. Discrimination can happen on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability and the presence of children - amongst other things.

Join experts from the Illinois Department of Human Rights and Prairie State Legal Services for this introduction to fair housing laws. Find out what laws need to be followed, what it means to provide equal access to housing and what steps you can take to ensure that your process is fair for all applicants.

Registration for this free training is required. You will be issued a certiication of attendance upon completion of the course.
