The Basic Crochet Blanket/Scarf class is a great basic beginner class for people interested in learning how to crochet.
You will get:
* 1 skein of yarn
* 1 yarn needle
* 1 crochet hook.
You will learn how to crochet:
* double crochet
* slip stitch
* chain stitch
* finishing your ends
* turning the project
The yarn provided should be enough for one scarf (depending on how long you make the scarf). Students will have to purchase after class more yarn in order to finish a blanket.
Enter Lowell Makes 47 Lee St. go straight through the door in front of you and the first room on the left will be where the class is located.
Your scarf/blanket most likely won't be completed in or during class. I will provide a easy to understand crochet directions sheet. Along with some YouTube videos to tune into if you get stuck at home.
We also hold a free crochet/knit night once a month, once class is over feel free to drop in for follow up questions you have after class. The crochet/knit night on Nov. 21 6-9PM is a social club for beginners and experienced people to hang out, show off their work, continue working and get pointers from fellow fiber artists.
Lowell Makes Members are entitled to a 20% discount on the class price after costs of materials. Materials cost for this class: $10.
Students under 18 must have a parent present. Parents don't need to participate but they do need to stay. Parents feel free to bring a book, computer, or other craft to entertain yourself if you like.
