Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

This CPR training course is designed for all healthcare workers in allied health fields. This four hour module for initial training teaches students to perform basic life support (CPR) for adults, children and infants. Use of automated external defibrillators (AED’s) and choking maneuvers are also taught for adults, children and infants. Students are trained in rescue breathing and the use of a bag mask device for assisting breathing during resuscitation efforts along with other forms of personal protective equipment. A written exam is administered and a score of at least 84% is necessary to complete the course successfully.
