Baselight Week LA: free training courses

December 7-9, 2021

FilmLight Training invites you to a special week of color training at the FilmLight office in Los Angeles.

Our three free courses cover the fundamentals of color grading, color spaces and media management in Baselight.

Each course/day is dedicated to a different audience, from an introductory level to more advanced operation, and combines demonstrations of techniques and features as well as hands-on exercises.

Moving to Baselight: Tuesday December 7

Aimed at experienced colorists on Resolve and other grading systems.

This course will help you translate existing skills to quickly become fluent on Baselight and take advantage of unique tools to take your expertise even further.

Conform & Assist: Wednesday December 8

For color assistants, conform artists and online editors.

Tailored for those who need to deploy their color workflow and maximize all assist tasks by setting up projects, automating processes, performing conform/render, generating deliverables and more.

Baselight for Beginners: Thursday December 9

Aimed at those with less experience in color grading, or wanting a general introduction to Baselight.

A practical training session for anyone looking to get started working with Baselight professionally.

The course will provide an overview of the many facets of Baselight. It touches on everything, from basic setup and customization to how the different grading tools work, and how they fit into larger workflows.

Note...

It is required to bring a laptop compatible with Baselight STUDENT, FilmLight’s software-only macOS application developed for training purposes. Baselight STUDENT will be used during the day for practice sessions. Registrants will be sent a software licence and media package before the course.
