Description

"Whoever wants to know the heart and mind of America had better learn baseball."

-- Jacques Barzun

Want to learn more about the United States through our national sport? Want to learn how to talk about the St. Louis Cardinals and how to follow the Major League Baseball Playoffs? Come gain a new perspective on the sport known as baseball.

The Office for International Students and Scholars is very excited to again host a discussion on baseball on Monday, September 25 from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Stix International House. The discussion will be hosted by our very own Karen Schwelle, the Director of English Language Programs and a diehard baseball fan.

The discussion will include a review of the basic rules of the game, as well as tactics and strategies. And, will include a discussion on the history of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Refreshments and baseball appropriate snacks will be provided! This lecture is only open to guests that register online at: http://wustloiss.eventbrite.com

For questions or concerns, please contact Jason Marquart (marquart@wustl.edu)
