The Conference Committee at the Bronx Academy for Software Engineering invites students, teachers, journalists, scholars, artists, and activists to submit proposals that examine the school as an intersectional site and/or intersectionality as a framework for understanding what elementary and secondary schools can and should be.

To gather and examine the manifold possibilities for school development and reform, teaching practice, and adult and adolescent learning/development that are opened up by intersectional approaches.

To examine the school at and as an intersection of racial, gender, political, juridical, ideological, and other discourses.

To question how schools can resist, reform, revolt and thrive at such intersections.
