Event description

Description

Putney High School, the GDST and Positive invite you to a stimulating evening revealing the results of cutting edge research into improving and maintaining psychological health, wellbeing and resilience in schools. Leading experts in wellbeing and academic attainment will deliver insights from the latest advances in psychology and neuroscience, currently being delivered as part of the Positive Schools Programme. Speakers will include Dr Brian Marien (Co-Founder, Positive) and Carole Edmond.

In partnership with Positive, the GDST has delivered the Positive Schools Programme across nine schools in the past academic year and now plans to roll out the programme to all 24 schools and two academies. One of the first to adopt the programme was Putney High School, hosts of the evening. Putney’s teachers and pupils will talk about how they have incorporated Positive's cognitive and behavioural tools into their daily lives at school, and the benefits this has already offered in helping young people to fulfil their potential.
