We will be joined by an expert panel combining lawyers, those on the forefront of the refugee crisis involved in humanitarian rescue operations, by people who have lived through the experience of coming to Athens as an asylum seeker.

At Khora, we believe in that everyone should have autonomy, choice, dignity, community and the basic means to live in our city. However, our experience in supporting asylum seekers in Athens, has demonstrated that many people’s rights are not being met when they arrive here.

In this discussion, we will reflect on the multiple challenges that people in the asylum process have faced whilst within the Greek borders, from the moment they disembark on our islands, through their journey into the city of Athens.
