Event description

Description

Spend an evening sorting and stacking food from the Food Pantry's High Holiday Food Drive! Help us fill the San Francisco food pantry with food for our community. We'll have over 2,000 pounds of food to organize.

Join JFCS' Young Professional Community Connection and meet new friends and give back to our community while enjoying good food, beer, and great tunes! Beer, pizza and many laughts will be provided.

RSVP by October 16th -- A suggested donation of $36 is encouraged for this event.

TRANSPORTATION/PARKING: Geary and Divisadero Muni Lines drop off about a block from the office and there is plenty of street parking OR park in our our garage (enter on the south side of Sutter Street between Scott and Pierce).

JFCS’ Young Professional Community Connection is a new program designed to create monthly volunteer opportunities for professionals in their 20’s and 30’s who are looking for ongoing and meaningful experiences. The project has a unique structure, which incorporates training from field experts at JFCS, and followed by direct service projects after each training; all guided by Jewish values. It also includes a social component, where volunteers are able to meet other young professionals interested in giving back to the community.

Projects are typically held on the third Wednesday of each month. Find out more about the Young Professional Community Connection here >
