Barre fitness is a body conditioning workout inspired by ballet, pilates and yoga. Using a ballet barre for support, you perform a combination of movements with the aim of creating long, lean muscles. Barre sculpts and tones the muscles so efficiently as it burns your muscles to their fullest potential and then stretches and elongates that same muscle group. It’s completely open to everyone to try, you don’t need to have done a barre class before and you don’t need any dance or pilates experience.
Please wear your normal workout gear and have bare feet, no shoes are necessary. There are changing rooms at the studio, just ask for a code at reception if you wish to use them. The last part of the class will be done on the floor, and as there aren’t mats in the studio you can bring your own yoga mat or towel if you wish, although it’s not absolutely essential to have one.
