Join the Indiana Barn Foundation for a weekend of fun including a bus tour, food, and live music on Friday, July 21, and Saturday, July 22.

DAY 1: Bus tour of barns in Hancock and Madison counties, east and northeast of Indianapolis.

Your cool and cushy coach bus departs from the parking lot at Country Inn & Suites, 2070 N. State Street, Greenfield, Indiana at 9 a.m. on July 21 for an all-day tour highlighting historic barns in Hancock and Madison counties.*

Registration begins at 8 a.m. inside the Country Inn & Suites lobby. The bus will be filled with other barn enthusiasts, a county historian, and expert barn detectives who will share what they find in each of the historic barns you tour. At mid-day, enjoy a tasty lunch at a working farm.

*Please note that cars may not follow.

First 46 registrants guaranteed a seat. A second bus may be added if there's enough demand.
Greenfield’s Country Inn & Suites is offering a reduced rate on hotel rooms for tour participants.

Call 317-467-0999 early to make sure you get the rate.

DAY 2: Indiana Barn Foundation's Annual Meeting - Dedicated to Purdue’s Mauri Williamson

Join in for a different kind of Barnstorming on July 22 at the non-profit Indiana Barn Foundation’s fourth annual meeting held in the historic Normandy Barn, located at 1202 E. 38th Street on the State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; the meeting will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.

Learn from a famous barn restorer and other experts about old barns, early Indiana farming, ancient hay press barns, and barn repairs. Plus, get “how-to” advice from a panel of folks who have creatively found new uses for their old barns. The meeting includes lunch accompanied by live music. In the afternoon, you'll hear from speakers and a panel before wrapping up with some Q&A.

If you're not already a member, consider joining the Indiana Barn Foundation with a tax-deductible membership and share in its mission of saving Indiana's heritage, one barn at a time.
