Barnes House 50th Anniversary
Sat, Oct 7, 2017, 8:00 PM – Sun, Oct 8, 2017, 12:00 AM
Welcome to the Barnes House 50th Anniversary page.
Join us for a night with old friends as we celebrate the place that has had such a meaningful impact on so many.
RSVP by selecting a ticket. If you are bringing a guest, please RSVP for them as well.
Any donations in excess of total event expenses will be donated to the Barnes House society at Memorial University. Although a donation is not required, the recommended donation amount is $25. This is not tax receiptable, it's a pass around the can sort of thing.
A waiver must be signed at the front doors before entry to the event to help protect our event organizers from liability - this is mandatory.
What will be happening at the event?
Planning is still in the early stages but we hope to offer the following:
* Hor d'oeuvres
* Cash bar
* Slideshow (We will be soliciting pictures as we get closer to the event so dig out the photo album)
* Live music (Likely a 1 or 2 piece band that needs home for a rest...)
* Story open mic (Give people an opportunity to share some of their fondest memories with the room)
Why do I have to sign a waiver before I enter the event?
In an age with high liabilities for event organizing, we want to ensure the reunion is safe for both attendees and event organizers.
Will the venue be big enough?
If the organizers feel we will exceed the venue size, we will notify everyone that has RSVPd of the change. Please RSVP if you plan on attending and encourage others!
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
An ID showing an age of 19+ will be required to purchase alcohol. If you choose to drink please drink responsibly.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There will be very limited parking at this event, please make arrangements to be dropped off and picked up from the event. If you or someone you know is leaving the event and cannot afford to pay for a cab we are willing to pay!
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope, just show up! Tickets are to help with associated costs and get a handle on expected numbers.
Can I update my registration information?
Yup, please do.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
