If you are thinking about weight loss surgery, San Angelo Community Medical Center offers a free one hour weight loss seminar the third Wednesday of every month. Dr. Glenn Ihde, a board certified bariatric surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery with more than 15 years' experience in evaluating, educating and treating obesity, leads the seminars. He and his team, a nurse coordinator and two registered dietitians, will discuss surgery options and answer questions about the exciting journey each patient will experience. He will also discuss expectations required to reach a successful outcome. Dr. Ihde understands the complexity of the process and unique circumstances of each individual.
