Barcamp GIJ 2017 is a free networking forum bringing people together for learning, sharing, networking and mentoring. It takes place on September 15th at the Lecture Hall D5 at the Ghana Institute of Journalism in Accra. The theme for this year is ReThinking Our Roles as Communication Students” 

BarCamp GIJ 2017 will be the first of its kind. It is being organized by the GIJ-SRC in conjunction with the GhanaThink FoundationGhanaThink has successfully organized 76 BarCamps in Ghana as part of its Barcamp Ghana program since 2008 and 8 Affiliate Barcamps. Barcamp Ghana is building a network of changemakers, doers and entrepreneurs.

The Barcamp will feature a speed mentoring session where mentors will give insights and answers to questions from attendees.

Even though the Barcamp would be dominated by GIJ students, we encourage other youth who are interested or working in communication and journalism to also participate.
