Description
What?
BarCampBrighton, now in it's 8th year is a free-to-attend, cross-disciplinary, non-profit conference. Past events have included talks on: the quantum internet; the history of the Great Western Railway; Aztec jewellery; the state of American politics; bunting workshops; and heated discussions on many, many other topics.
More than this, BarcampBrighton is an opportunity to meet people who are passionate about discovering and learning new things, and to socialise and build relationships with people that make this exciting city more exciting.
BarCamp is free, and all content is provided by the attendees. Attendees are encouraged to give a demo, a talk, or help with one, or otherwise contribute in some way to support the event. BarCamp is 100% non-commercial, non-profit, and community driven. No one is paid, no one is charged, and no profits are made.
Budget allowing, all attendees will be fed throughout the event, and we have some social time on Saturday evening with pizza, games and drinks. People are encouraged to 'camp' overnight to take full advantage of the event - there will be hacking, projects, discussions and games late into the evening.
Where?
The venue for this year will be The Huxley Building, at Brighton University's Moulsecoomb campus, less than 5 minutes walk from Moulsecoomb train station.
