THE BLACK DOLL AFFAIR AND MATTEL PRESENTS: "BARBIE STYLE" - 60 YEARS OF ROLE MODELS, FASHION & STYLE!

The Black Doll Affair (BDA) announces "Barbie Style" in honor of the most fashionable icon in the world turning 60 years old on March 9, 2019.

In honor of Barbie turning 60 years fabulous, join The Black Dolls for an afternoon of empowering fun for women and girls. Get your tickets to attend THE fashion event of the spring season at The Community Achievement Center in Decatur, GA. This is our nod to Barbie, ode to her fashion sense and opportunity to get dolled up Barbie style! With support from our partners over at Mattel (the Barbie brand), you, your Dollfriends and the baby dolls in your life are invited to join The Black Doll Affair social club and self-esteem movement for "Barbie Style" - the official fashion showcase and birthday party for our girl Barbie. Open to the public and featuring Honorary "Baby Doll" Celai West, one of NY Fashion Week's most buzzed about up-and-coming "catwalk assassins", "Barbie Style" will find fashion show attendees smack dab on the front lines of Celai's #blackdollmagic!

For those seeking an all things girly fashion experience, you won't be disappointed by The Black Doll Affair's "Barbie Style" boutique showcasing Barbie clothes for living and toy dolls, chic fashions and accessories. Shoppers, start your Barbie Jeep engines! Atlanta fashionistas and Barbie lovers, get dolled up in your Barbie inspired fashions. "Barbie Style" attendees are asked to arrive in inspired Barbie designer fashions. This 60th Anniversary fashion show will ask living Dolls arriving onto the black carpet in their designer inspired "Barbie Style": "Doll, who are you wearing?" So, who will you wear? Dress Codes:
Non Members: Moms, dads, boys and girls of the general public are asked to arrive dolled up in clothing inspired by Barbie and Ken's style!

Black Doll Affair Members Dress Code and Conduct:
"Be a Doll, give a doll" - In other words, bring a toy black Barbie doll to donate to our cause and get dolled up in your favorite Black Doll T-shirt, along with clothing and accessories inspired by designers who dressed Barbie over the years! On the red carpets of Hollywood, style makers are asked "Who are you wearing?" On the pink carpet at "Barbie Style," our fashion commentator will ask "Which Barbie designer inspired your outfit tonight?" So Dolls, which Barbie clothing designer will inspire your outfit? Tickets: Non-refundable. Tickets are AVAILABLE ONLINE UNTIL 24 HOURS BEFORE the start of the Affair. After our online box offices close, limited tickets will be available at the door for $10 more than the online ticket prices. This Black Doll Affair is open to members of the general public and members (The Black Dolls, Black Doll Brothas and our Porcelain Pal sisters) of The Black Doll Affair.

Show Schedule: The Black Doll Affair will commence at 3:00 PM. Interior show events are expected to conclude by 5:30pm. Exterior events (weather permitting) for picture taking purposes will commence no later than 6pm. Lineup, appearances and schedule are subject to change.
