About this Event

Bandsaws - A Comprehensive Review

Bandsaws are one the most versatile and common tools found in a wood shop. These machines are not complex in nature, however if not adjusted & used correctly can be useless for the task at hand.

With the proper use, adjustment and knowledge, these machines can be used to cut the thinnest of veneers, straightest of lines, compound curves and complicated shapes with ease.

After taking this class you will have the knowledge to:

  • Remove/Install a Bandsaw Blade (Including how to fold one :-)
  • Adjust the bandsaw to get straight cuts
  • Setting a fence to make a straigh cut
  • Walk away with techniques to practice making straight lines freehand
  • Learn how to cut radical curves/bends with out breaking your blade
  • How to Keep a Bandsaw operating at its peak.
