Asa serves as an Associate Pastor at Duluth Vineyard Church.  Asa's focus at Duluth Vineyard is on Worship Ministry.  He has been serving in some version of this role since 2005.

Asa moved to Duluth in 2003 to begin attending Vineyard Institute, a two year ministry and leadership training school hosted by the Duluth Vineyard.  During the course of his training, he discovered God's gifitng and calling for him in worship ministry and set the goal of becoming a worship pastor.

Asa's heart is to see people engage in a lifestyle of worship.  He longs to see people set free from what ninds them and set loose to more passionately and genuinely worshipping God with all of their heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Asa seeks to fill his life with what inspires him.  Some classic examples of what inspires him are; his gorgeous wife - Jenna, a really good hot sauce, a fishing pole and a beautiful lake, seeing people discover their creativity, and beautiful art.

He oversaw a collective of 25+ musicians that wrote, recorded, and led worship services for VCC. That collective, Poured Out Like Wine, recorded 7 albums with over 15 published songs with Vineyard Worship USA.

Mike works as a producer, engineer, and mixer at Lucko Sound Studio. Since 1997 he has recorded dozens of local church and singer-songwriter projects including Miami Vineyard Live and Not Be Moved. Dan Wilt says, “Mike O’Brien is one of the Vineyard’s most articulate communicators on the topic of contemporary worship leadership. His ability to break down complex ideas into memorable phrases and move-forward practices is second-to-none. I wholeheartedly recommend that you have Mike in to work with you, your musicians, and your techs. You won’t regret it; he carries the heart of worship deep within him – and it spills out everywhere.”

He released worship album Wait for the Dawn in 2010 and has stayed active in the Twin Cities music scene as a solo singer/songwriter, a leader of rock bands, and the common cog in a relationally-driven group of artists called The Law Collective.

Justin’s passions include coffee, travel, guitar effect pedals, and rooting for Minnesota sports teams, but his greatest joy is seeing people experience the life-changing presence, love, and power of God. He is grateful for his parents’ influence in his life, both for planting the first Vineyard church in Minnesota and for giving in to his unrelenting desire to own a KISS album at the age of four.

Additional faculty to be announced soon!

This all looks good, but my team are all volunteers and have day jobs, any ideas on how to get them there?
Offer to send them and pay their costs. Rent a van and bring the whole team after work on Thursday. Thursday evening will be an optional “walk-n’anytime” reception with some fun and learning. The conference concludes on Saturday at Noon, with plenty of time to get back.

Our church is a long way from Minneapolis, you sure this is worth it?
A road trip with your team (on Thursday and Saturday) is an incredible time to build relationship and discuss what you are expecting and learning. Our sessions will be jammed packed, specifically designed for busy people who want to get lots of information in a short time.

We are not a Vineyard church, can we come? Yes! Vineyard School of Worship welcomes any and all churches and denominations.

Can I come to BAND LAB alone?
Absolutely! This training event is for individuals and teams! Worship leaders or musicians from any church are welcome to attend.

Can Kids/Teens attend BAND LAB?
Yes. We welcome ALL AGES (those under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult). Parents/Leaders are welcome to be in the building and do work in the lobby or cafe area if you do not want to attend the event.

Should I bring any gear?
SURE! Feel free to bring a guitar or some gear. The church will have lots of gear on-hand, so there is no direct need to bring anything.

Are scholarships available?
YES! We are offering partial and complete scholarships for those in need. Church planters and non-US passport holders are encouraged to contact us for more details on scholarship opportunities.
Diversity scholarship may also be available. Apply for a Vineyard USA Ethnic Diversity Scholarship here.  Email Dottie Meyers at for more information.

We encourage everyone to arrive in St. Paul Thursday afternoon or Evening. Our first optional reception is Thursday evening at 7pm and will include food, lots fellowship and early learning opportunities  The conference ends at 12:30PM on Saturday. Vineyard Worship

Vineyard Worship exists as an organic extension of the Vineyard church movement in the USA (Vineyard USA). We are, in a phrase, "from the church, for the church.” We are not a music company first and foremost; we are a non-profit worship ministry. Our efforts will be centered in the cultivation and empowerment of the core value of worship in the Vineyard or more simply put "to help the local church experience God", rather than in a profit-driven music business model.
