NAZ in association with the RISE partnership is pleased to announce a series of personal development workshops aimed at members of London’s diverse Ethnic background, Gay/Bi communities, living or working in Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham

They will be facilitated by Dennis Carney:

Dennis is an experienced group facilitator who founded the UK’s first discussion group ‘Let’ Rap’, for Black Gay/Bi men in early 1990. He has appeared in the Channel 4 documentaries ‘Black OUT’, and ‘Reggae, Trainers & The Olympics’, plus numerous radio shows that have explored homophobia within Black communities Dennis was the inaugural Chair of BGMAG and official spokesperson for the Stop Murder Music Campaign, that helped put an end to homophobic Jamaican dancehall lyrics. In 2003 and 2006 Dennis received Black LGBT Community Awards recognising his contributions in raising the profile of Black LGBTQ communities in the UK.

Free refreshments will be provided.

Come along, learn new skills, gain more confidence and meet other likeminded BAME, Gay/Bi Men in a safe, confidential and supportive environment.

All attendees who attend at least 3 events will receive an 'Official Certificate' from NAZ RiSe team.
