The Angelou Centre is celebrating the end of the BAM! Sistahood! Project- a wonderful regional heritage project exploring the last 70 years and contemporary Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) Women’s Heritage in the North East of England. The project has recovered, explored, documented and shared Black and Minority women’s heritage and herstory, a so far untold and undocumented story. Come and celebrate the end of this landmark project that has involved over 800 women in training and activities and has reached an audience of over 4,000 people region wide. We will be celebrating with BAM! Sistahood! Presentations, Music, Poetry, Parades, Exhibitions & International food.
