Spring 2017 Baltimore TreeKeepers Classes!
TK 102 -The Science of Trees is a lively discussion on basic tree biology, soils, proper tree planting and care. Learn about how trees grow and how we plant and care for them. This class includes an outdoor tree planting demonstration, weather permitting. Please dress appropriately.
TK 102 -The Science of Trees is the second classroom requirement for becoming a Certified Baltimore TreeKeepers (TK). The certification process also includes your help on at least two tree planting events held by TK nonprofit partners.
Through a combination of classroom learning and field experiences, TreeKeepers-in-Training learn best management practices associated with tree planting and care. Once certified, TreeKeepers can receive special help from TK partners with trees in their own community.
Be a part of something greater than yourself. Join the TreeKeepers and get involved in tree planting and tree care. Together we can build a healthy forest canopy that provides a multitude of health and energy-saving benefits for everyone.
All classes and workshops are free and open to the public.
