Winners of the Concert Artist Guild International competition, Balourdet Quartet and flutist Adam Sadberry, open our season with a program of American chamber music. Samuel Barber’s String Quartet Op. 11, immortalized by its profound Adagio, and light-hearted Suite of Duke Ellington hits will be followed by Katherine Hoover’s virtuosic “Winter Spirits” for flute and Romantic Theme and Variations for flute and string quartet by Amy Beach.
