The Quadrille Alumni Committee is delighted to offer a 4-session dance course just in time for charity ball season. Dances covered include the Viennese Waltz and the Fox Trot which are standards for any of the formal events occurring in New York City this winter season. Additional dances such as Swing will be offered as time permits. You are always welcome to ask questions about any dance to the instructor or participants after the formal lesson time has ended. Lessons will focus on beginner and intermediate levels. This is a great opportunity to renew your dance skills and meet others enthusiastic about dancing.
Class Dates: Monday evenings January 2, 9, 16 and 23. We request you reserve for all 4 dates. If you cannot attend one of the lessons, please let someone from the Alumni Committee or Junior Committee know in advance so we can identify a substitute.
6 to 7 p.m. Check in with Reception in the Lobby who will direct you to where the group is located. Those arriving early will have access to the bar for a refreshment and for meeting other participants.
7 to 8 p.m. Group Dance Lesson
8 to 8:30 p.m. Open Dancing with individual consultation by the Instructor
Space is limited so please sign up soon. We attempt to accept an even number of men and women so everyone has a dance partner for the entire class.
Singles and couples are welcome to join the class. If you attend alone, we will pair you with a partner in the class. The instructor typically asks participants to switch partners during the class so that you can learn from a variety of dance styles and experience levels.
Your $40 donation covers all 4 lessons and is paid directly to the Quadrille Ball Paypal account to support the Germanistic Society of America's Scholarship Fund. Administration of the dance lessons is supported by volunteers from the Quadrille Alumni Committee.
We look forward to seeiing you at our Ballroom Dance Lessons!
