Join us for DODGE BALL at Fair Oaks Park. Field #10. The 12 teams who bowled their way to game to will meet to eliminate 4 teams and move onto Game 3.
It's BYOB + B (Balls and Beverages). AIGA DFW will provide snacks and juice boxes. All balls will be donated to Uplift Education.
Want a chance to be a walk on? Come on down! Some teams might be needing a few extra players. Just come in a white t-shirt and sharpie a "B" on it.
BEHIND BALL BRAWL™
BALL BRAWL™ was conceived over a few beers, a few diet cokes, and a few wooden tables in about 3-5 minutes. But it was a wonderful 3-5 minutes.
No one remembers how the conversation came about. Maybe it was a few inquiries about a design-firm softball team, then bowling league, because, hey—who really looks good playing softball (no one) ... but however it was born, the infant idea quickly grew into an epic championships series involving balls that get smaller as the size of your competition does the same.
Yes. Shrinking balls. Narrow margins. A dirty joke that you're forced to keep repeating. It's a design community's dream. Quicker than we anticipated, a few notable firms heard, and grabbed a good hold of the idea quickly.
DODGE BALL is the second game in the series, and the teams include:
1: The Hurt Lockers
2: The Big House : Cell Block 2
3: Death From Above 2
4: Black Death Scorpions
5: The Big House : Cell Block 4
8: White Lightning
9: MatchBallerz 2
10: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter
11: MatchBallerz 1
12: Best Dressed : TBD
We have some teams. We have a cause. And we have a plan.
Now all we need is you. Join the brawl.
