Event description
Balkan Call Prayer Event is a 3 day Call to Pray to Balkan Believers who are Desperate to see Breakthrough & Revival come to This Region

About this Event

The Balkan Call 2019

Theme: Healing Hearts, Transforming the Balkans

November 7-9, 2019, Thessaloniki, Greece

It is a call to all who see and understand the times and know that revival can only come when the spiritual atmosphere over a city, nation, or region is changed! It is a call to the intercessors, the musicians, the dancers – the watchmen of Isaiah 62:6: I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. The Balkan Call is a call to all who are ready to stop striving and take 3 days just to rest at the feet of Jesus and do 3 things: 1. Listen to Him 2. Worship Him 3. Learn from Him.

Speakers

The Balkan Call invites 2 speakers to join us as experienced believers and teachers in the area of forgiveness and reconciliation.

Venco Nakov was born 1969 in Stip, Macedonia. He got saved in June 1991 and grew under the instruction of pastor Budimir and Asterija Jakic. Some years he has been pastor of the church in Kocani and involved in planting a few more churches in Macedonia. "Greatest purpose for my life is to see healing of the Balkans, as I believe the Balkans has a destiny to reach Turkey and Middle East with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Actually, I can hear the call now in reverse , “Come over to Turkey and help us.”"

Pastor Paul Demitriades, Pastor Paul got to know Jesus as his Savior from a very young age since he was born in a family of believers. The sincere decision though to give all of himself to Him was taken at the age of 17. He has many years of ministerial experience which includes serving as a Youth Pastor, Helps Minister, Worship leader, Associate Pastor and his current position. The desire of his heart is to help the people of his country, especially young people, to know God. He wants to create a safe environment where they will grow spiritually into seeking Him.

History

In the spring of 2006, 175 pastor and believers gathered together from Albania, Macedonia, and Kosovo for a conference on unity and prayer. Ruth Ruibal from Cali, Columbia was the key speaker. She spoke on the topic from her book, “Unity in the Spirit”. We had joint worship and prayer in Macedonian and Albanian language. For many of the Macedonians it was the first time they had ever met an Albanian believer. There was a time of spontaneous repentance and forgiveness between Albanians and Macedonians. After that we had for the very first time Albanians coming to Macedonia to love and reach out to their own people. There was a powerful and immediate sign of the fruit that came from believers walking together in unity and prayer. 10 years later Nov. 17-19, 2016, in Skopje, Macedonia –we had the first ever Balkan Call with more than 150 believers coming together from 6 Balkan nations (Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Croatia) to worship the Lord and sit at His feet for three days.

In 2017 the Balkan Call was held in Tirana, Albania. For the first time we had members of the body of Christ join us from Greece and Turkey. We had powerful times of worship, prayer, and repentance. We also had strong teaching and testimony of how to live a Spirit-filled life.

On Nov. 8-10, 2018 we gathered as Balkan nations in Pristina, Kosovo to speak blessing over the church, the people, and the nation of Kosovo! The Lord sent to us 2 true ministers of reconciliation, our sister in Christ, Dr. Rhiannon Lloyd from Wales, and founder of Healing the Nations. She shared with us the principals of healing and forgiveness that God gave her from His word and that He used to bring healing to many in Rwanda after the genocide there. These are the very same principles that the Lord is using and will use to bring healing to Kosovo and to every Balkan nation. He also sent to us Dr. Elona Proj, founder of “No Blood Feud – YES to life” foundation. She shared her personal story of forgiving the family that killed her husband and how the Lord has used her as a change agent in the northern region of Albania and beyond.

Join us this year, 2019, as the Balkan Call moves to Thessaloniki, Greece. What an amazing opportunity we have to be in the lands of the early Church and the New Testament scriptures! We also have the opportunity as Balkan nations to bless the body of Christ in Greece and the nation which have been through a very challenging time economically since 2010. Register today and we look forward to seeing you in Thessaloniki!
