Older people sustain such injuries by stumbling on stairs; slipping in bathtubs; falling off ladders and step stools; and tripping over garden hoses, dog leashes, and household appliance cords.

Balance can become more precarious as we age. It doesn't have to be this way. Regain your center and your steadiness through simple coordination and strength-building exercises. Good reflexes and balance are natural. It will all come back to you.
