Sat, April 29, 2017, 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM EDT
Join our baking class and learn to make two different kinds of traditional French beignets: the so-called Bugnes and Oreillettes.
The class is led by Mylene, a native French foodie who is bringing together a community of passionate cooks in New York City. During this class, Mylene will share her baking skills and reveal some of her grandmother's old cooking secrets. She will teach how to make two distinct sorts of traditional French pastries with easy-to-make doughs.
In this class, you will learn how to:
- Make doughs for the bugnes and oreillettes by hand.
- Give your doughs a personal twist with special ingredients.
- Cut and shape the doughs for the two different sorts of beignets.
- Fry and season your bugnes and oreillettes to perfection.
At the end of the class, you will all taste your creativity with other attendees and go back home with your gems to share with family and friends.
Size: 6 people maximum to ensure close interactions and maximize the learning experience. The class will be 3 hours and will take place at Mylene's home kitchen in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
