Event description

Description

When we bake at Milk Street, we draw on techniques and ingredients from the savory side of cooking. You'll learn to fine-tune flavor by toasting flours for our Semolina Polvorones and Whole-Grain Chocolate Chip Cookies. We'll experiment with browning butter to create rich, malty notes in our Brown Butter Cardamom Bread. And we'll incorporate herbs more familiar in roasts and stews—think rosemary and bay—into baked goods such as Tangerine-Almond Cake and Rosemary Pine Nut Shortbread.

This is a hands-on baking class led by Milk Street instructors Erin Ross and Liz Vena.
