Speaker: Brian Hayes, BAHRMA President
Brian joined Hydratight in May 2012 as HR Leader for the Americas Region. He is based at the company's Deer Park facility and has chief responsibilities for HR leadership for all of North and South America. Hydratight is part of the Actuant family of companies, and provides superior solutions to deliver leak-free, secure, and reliable bolted joints, servicing the oil and gas, petrochemicals, nuclear and aerospace industries.
Prior to joining Hydratight, Brian was employed with the City of League City, Texas, as the Director of Human Resources & Civil Service from April 2009 to May 2012. He is a human resource management professional with over 18 years of experience in the field.
Brian and his family moved to the Bay Area of Houston from Chattanooga, TN in 2006. He previously held senior HR leadership roles in the food and chemical manufacturing fields, with companies such as Occidental Chemical Corporation's Houston Operations (OxyVinyls), McKee Foods Corporation in Collegedale, TN (makers of "Little Debbie" snack cakes), as well as, Wood Group Light Industrial Turbines, Inc. and Counterforce North America, a division of United Technologies Fire & Security, located in Houston.
Brian has previously served on the Board of Directors for SHRM Chattanooga, and was awarded the 2004 "Human Resource Management Excellence Award" given by the Tennessee State Human Resources Conference. Brian has been certified by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) since October 2000. He was nominated for the Rising Star Award in 2011 and 2012 presented by the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association (TMHRA), and affiliate of the Texas Municipal League.
