TV Network Executives & Celebrity Red Carpet Gala

An after-Pilot Season Hollywood Party-Throw for TV network executives, film studio heads, industry professionals and celebrities, along with KLOS radio listeners, television and movie enthusiasts,

benefitting HOUSE OF RUTH Inc, serving Southern California, and The National Domestic Violence Hotline.

This year's theme is "Empowering Women" and the event will provide a platform for domestic violence survivors to speak out and receive support. Receipts from corporate sponsors and the private sector, along with ticket proceeds will benefit The Hotline and House of Ruth Survivors.


Why You Should Come

TO SUPPORT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS and a NONVIOLENCE WORLD

No one seems to talk about it. It's personal. Few event productions or companies will place their brand adjacent a social topic so uncomfortable. Yet, survivors and families of domestic violence are badly in need our community support.

Since 1996, The National Domestic Violence Hotline has been a vital link for victims and survivors of domestic violence. The organization is the only 24-hour domestic violence hotline providing services via phone, text and chat. Support has helped The Hotline fulfill its mission to answer the call to support and shift power back to those affected by relationship abuse, working toward our vision of a world where all relationships are positive, healthy and free from violence. The Hotline has been able to change lives by providing a path to safety, strength, and recovery.

In 2018 The Hotline received 573,670 contacts and answered more calls than in any other year. Your support enables The Hotline to do more to ensure every person gets the help they need.

It includes all of us, because we all know someone going through work or relationship abuse. oppression in the home, or physical discrimination in our community. The Los Angeles community will have an opportunity to contribute to the alleviation of suffering for domestic violence victims. Attendees from the entertainment industry and radio listeners are invited to bring much-needed shelter items to the Red Carpet, where event emcees, host interviewers, and plenty of photoOps provided by Flicker PREMIUM Celebrity Photo Booths will be camera-catching you and your well thought-out ideas for survivors of domestic violence who are healing in shelters. Bring an item from the "Wish List" and instantly be entered into the event's raffle drawings. Participants will walk this Hollywood Red Carpet through corridors and place their brought "Wish List" items beneath "The Little Christmas Tree"

Event will showcase CRE's vault of TV shows & feature films in trailer format, as well as trailer videos from some other independent producers and directors. Radio DJ music by Los Angeles station 95.5 KLOS-FM and its "Rock Against Domestic Violence" campaign.

The Gala's signature video trailer, "Badland Wives," a TV drama about the rise of wives in the Old West is to be shown. The trailer was directed by Stephen S. Campanelli, director of “Momentum” and cinematographer for "A Star is Born”, "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri," and “American Sniper” and executive produced by Jane E. McAllister. A tempered domestic violence scene featuring outlaw John Wesley Hardin (actor Derek Russo) and wife Jenny Hardin (MaryRose Cadenhead) can be seen AT: www.badlandwives.com


8:35 PM AWARDS PRESENTATION I Beth Sullivan to receive Couragous Woman Content Award

"The Courageous Woman Content Award" is presented to leading females in the Industry and will be awarded this year to TV show runner BETH SULLIVAN, a frontrunner female executive who aired her own show, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, on a major network (CBS) and paved the way for female executives during an era when seated positions for original run series content creators were largely male-dominated.


"Angel Landing"

This bronzed sculpture spans 22" with a 17 inch wingspan. Angel Landing is both an award stauette and art collector item, being sculpted by renowned artist Doug Johns.

ABOUT Sculptor Doug Johns

is an American-born sculptor and the original fabricator of Eva Hesse's famous sculptural installations composed of textiles, latex, and fiberglass displayed in the Whitney and Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Their works together ushered in Post-Minimalism conceptual era of sculpture in the 1960s. The art form defies form and spatial relationships. Among their most important works was the iconic Chain Polymer Series (1968). Johns also sculpted the ‘Golden Boy Award” for ATT and the National Horse Show Award most notably given to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
