Event description
BadCameo is an Indie-Funk Fusion band that blends all types of influences into a cocktail of disco-glam grooves!

About this event

Doors open at 7pm, Show Time 730-9pm.

BadCameo - Born in North Carolina and now living in Clearwater, FL, Indie-Funk Fusion band BadCameo blends all types of influences into a cocktail of disco-glam grooves! The band motto is "fuse whatever you got into this music", which is evident in their flamboyant stage persona, eclectic aesthetic, and use of props like their signature stuffed fish. Always immersing fans in an all-out dance party (the BC guarantee!), it’s clear that BadCameo is a band unlike any other.

In October 2020, the band released their debut studio album "BadCameo Out Loud". The album was self-recorded and engineered, and explores the relationships one has with themselves and those around them. The nine songs push the boundaries of funk, disco, jazz, and pop, while even slipping in a little samba!

Beyond recording, the band plays shows and tours as often as possible. Since their origination in 2017, they've played well over 100 shows in a variety of venues. They've shared bills with bands like Kendall Street Company, Roosevelt Collier, Of Good Nature, Arson Daily, and Joe Marcinek. Check out the BadCameo Funk Train and learn what the funky boys are all about!

Wake Moody - Durham, NC artist Wake Moody plays a strange game: his music - built on old-school R&B, rock, and modern pop - stays focused on good vibes, while the lyrics often deal with something more conflicted. “Most of the songs,” he explains, “are ‘almost-love songs’” – songs where, if one detail was different, everyone would be happy. “So 90% of the situation is great,” he says, “but that last 10%, the deal-breaker, the problem, means you need to let go. But you won’t because the good parts are too good.” Songs like “Shivers” and “Won’t Let Go” mine this territory, though he admits it isn’t always apparent on first blush. “Everyone tells me the songs are feel-good. If it makes you feel something, somehow, that’s all I need - I said what I needed to either way!”

Sonic inspirations range from Daniel Caesar to Lianne la Havas, from Frank Ocean to Earth Wind and Fire. “My childhood was sound-tracked by my parents’ favorite R&B, classic rock and soul records,” he explains, an influence apparent in his band’s soulful live shows, featuring hypnotic grooves and three-part harmonies.

POUR HOUSE COVID POLICY:

* All shows are seated performances.

* All attendees will be required to wear a mask while in the building. The only time your mask can come off is to take a drink, but then it must be put back on.

* Tickets are sold by the table only. We have two top, three top and four top tables available for purchase.

* All drink and band merchandise orders are placed from your table and will be brought to you.

* We seat guests on a first come first serve basis, starting at the stage, moving towards the back of the venue.

* All shows are a maximum of 60 minutes to reduce the amount of time patrons, bands and staff are in the venue together.

* We will be taking down the names and contact info for every party who attends a concert. We ask that if you contract covid within 2 weeks after attending a concert to please let us know asap. We will alert all attendees that there was a potential exposure.

* All concerts will be limited to 19% capacity. Current guidelines allow for 30% capacity, but to ensure proper social distancing and to guarantee a stage view for all attendees, we are only allowing 54 attendees per show.

* Thorough deep cleaning procedures are in place for before, during and after each performance.

* When you arrive at the venue, the manager on duty will escort you to your table. Please arrive with your entire party. You will not be seated until your entire group has arrived.

* Please arrive on time. Think of this new show format of ours as going to a movie theatre. We need you and your group to be on time so we can start the show on time.

* We ask that you only leave your table to go to use the restroom. If you need to step outside for a phone call, to chat with a friend, take a smoke break, whatever. Please take it to the sidewalk and do not congregate in the alley.

* Our shows are seated shows. With that being said, live music naturally makes you want to get up and move to the music. We have limited space and a very specific seating layout to adhere to covid distancing guidelines. Feel free to stand at your seat and wiggle those hips and shake those booties, but we ask you stay in place and save those wild dance moves for another day. Just think of how hard we are going to dance when this is all over!? Baby steps. Please take them with us.

* If you do not follow the procedures we have laid out, we will ask you to leave without a refund.

* If you have any question, concerns or comments, please let us know.
