Event description

Description

Welcome to the Last Night at Knoch - Naperville Ribfest 2019, our 32nd year! Gates open at 12pm July 6th for the absolute best midwestern 4th of July outdoor concert series.

BAD COMPANY

One of the most acclaimed bands of the classic rock era, England's Bad Company has put its indelible stamp on rock 'n' roll with a straight-ahead, no-frills musical approach that has resulted in the creation of

some of the most timeless rock anthems ever. Band Company is led by the incomparable singer and songwriter Paul Rodgers, arguably the finest singer in rock 'n ' roll and a huge songwriting talent.

Formed in 1973, Bad Company came to life when Rodgers was looking to start anew after the disintegration of his legendary band Free. His powerhouse vocals and songwriting were a main ingredient during Free’s impressive five-year run, a period of time that saw the release of seven extremely influential albums that featured Free’s minimalist blues-rock approach. Included among Free’s dynamic body of work is the 1970 smash, “All Right Now,” one of the most recognizable rock anthems ever recorded.

Performance times and supporting acts will be posted at ribfest.net closer to the event. Bring chairs and blankets; general admission is open field. Free remote parking and shuttle to park. Details in June: http://www.ribfest.net/2019-shuttle-map/. #partywithapurpose #lastnightsatknoch For more information, visit ribfest.net. Interested in our mission? Visit exchangeclub.org!

ZZ Ward

Evocative of blues grit and hip-hop bounce, the Los Angeles-based vocal powerhouse and multi-instrumentalist ZZ Ward will open for Bad Company.

Grand Funk Railroad

David Fricke, Rolling Stone Magazine, says it best, "You cannot talk about rock in the 1970s without talking about Grand Funk Railroad!"

The Empty Pockets

Sincerity, pathos and powerhouse vocals. The Empty Pockets’ often cerebral and sometimes playful indie rock sound is built upon a strong foundation of the timeless Americana, Blues, and Soul that came before them.

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Here's the deal. It's a great deal. Think of it as FREE customized transport to Ribfest. In June, check ribfest.net for the 2019 free parking & free shuttle information. TL/DR: Not a lot of close-in parking.

What can I bring into the event?

Yourself. If you're general admission, bring a chair and blanket. Bring a hat, sun screen and one factory sealed 1-liter bottle of water per guest. We LOVE babies. Strollers, wagon and baby food are just dandy. No coolers, outside food or beverage (except as noted above). Leave Fido at home. No weapons or fireworks. No zombies.
