Backyard Bark Beetles Project: Saturday Youth Program
Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Come learn about a very small creature that can have a really big impact, bark beetles! The University of Florida has created a citizen science project that we can all do to help researchers and scientists know where certain beetles are being found around the state. This is a great opportunity for kids to get involved in real-world science right in their own backyards.
Note: Please bring an empty 2-liter bottle with you if you wish to build a beetle trap J We will provide the rest of the supplies.
Recommended for 7-11 year olds.
An equal opportunity institution.
UF/IFAS Extension provides practical education you can trust, to help people, businesses and communities solve problems, develop skills and build a better future.
