Baby Care Basics

BABY CARE BASICS

( One Saturday session)

Getting ready for your baby is such an exciting time. This class is designed to help first time parents learn the practical and essential skills needed for your newborn during the first three months after birth. This class include lecture and several hands on practice sessions with our life size baby dolls .

These skills include:

• All the basics of infant care from diapering to bathing.
• Safe swaddling and Safe Sleep guidelines
• Learning infant massage
• Comfort cues
• Feeding tips
• When to call the doctor

There will be plenty of time for questions and you'll receive Your Guide to Baby's First Year book.

CLASS PREREQUISTE:

You do not have to be a Baptist Health patient to attend our classes.

Expectant parents are encouraged to register early as space is limited.

CLASS INSTRUCTOR:

This class is taught by a Baptist Health educator.

CLASS REGISTRATION:

Registration and pre-payment is required to reserve your spot. Cost of this class includes 2 participants.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:

To accommodate others who wish to attend this class we ask that all cancellations be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class. If you paid a fee for the event and you submitted the cancellation notice 72 hours or more to the start of the event you can either apply the class fee to another Baptist Health event or request a refund.
