Becoming a parent is an exciting time with many new experiences and questions. This one session class prepares new parents for the care of the mother and her newborn during the early weeks after birth, tips on feeding your baby, swaddling, diapering, bathing and knowing what to look for if you suspect your infant is sick. The class is facilitated by a Registered Nurse and Parent Education Assistant.
Location: This class is held in the new Florida Hospital for Women. 1st Floor, Women's Community Education Center at 601 E. Rollins St., Orlando, FL 32803. Please park in the Alden Garage located at 2328 Alden Rd. The walkway into the hospital is on the 3rd level of the garage. Follow the signs for Florida Hospital for Women. The classroom is to the left at the bottom of the escalator.
Driving Directions: From I-4 West take the Princeton Street exit. Turn Left onto E. Princeton Street. Turn Left on Alden Rd. and enter the garage on the Left. From I-4 East take Princeton Street exit. Turn right onto E. Princeton Street. Turn Left on Alden Rd. and enter the garage on the Left.
Time: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm.
Cost: The cost of the Baby Care class is $35.00 per couple.
