Multi Spectral Imaging with Mike Toth, Multi Spectral Imaging Pioneer, Engineer
Multi-Spectral imaging is now a mature technology for Cultural Heritage that reveals information about objects not visible to the eye. This includes detail from charred or damaged objects, areas of concern for Conservation, and new information for researchers. Mike will review the many applications, methods and process involved in his imaging work -- from parchment in ancient manuscripts to papyrus in mummy masks. This will also be the first public introduction of the latest multispectral illumination technology -- redefining the next generation of Multi-Spectral imaging solutions. Featured Phase One products include the Phase One IQ2 60 Achromatic CCD back and the IQ3 100 Achromatic CMOS back.

Creating the Digital Surrogate with Rod Macleod, Director of Cultural Heritage Solutions at B3K Digital
Phase One breakthrough technology combined with Digital Transitions DT Atom digitizer with Auto-column is achieving a new level of object digitization, the Digital Surrogate. This new object category goes beyond highest level FADGI and Metamorphose standards achieving advanced research level results. Rod will define Digital Surrogate object digitization and the equipment and workflow including the Phase One iXG, Capture One 10 CH and the Digital Transitions DT Atom system. All equipment will be available after the presentation to create your own Digital Surrogate samples. Bring samples of film, or flat art to create your own digitization sample and a CF card, memory stick or hard drive to take the sample with you.
